Our Story
The idea for Present Pets first came about when our founder was struggling to come up with a unique gift idea for his niece’s birthday. He wanted something special that would really surprise and delight her when she unwrapped it. That’s when he had the idea for a plush toy that would “come to life” and pop out of the gift box.
After months of development and testing, the first Present Pets were created – a line of adorable plush dogs that jumped out of their boxes into a child’s arms. The look of awe and wonder on his niece’s face when she unpacked her new puppy pal was priceless. He knew then that he had created something truly special.
Since that first birthday surprise, Present Pets have brought joy to thousands of children and families. As our collection has grown, so has our mission to promote imagination, compassion, and fun. Our plush pets don’t just sit on a shelf – they interact, play, and create lasting memories.
Our Plush Pets
All of our Present Pets feature soft, cuddly plush in adorable designs and realistically cute faces. Each pet has a unique personality and lovable traits that are brought to life through imaginative play. Kids can unzip sleeping bags to wake pets up, toss balls for fetching games, and comb fur for grooming fun.
The magic really happens when they first unwrap and open that gift box. With just a tug of the gift tag, their new furry friend pops up with a jump and a wiggle, eager to meet its new owner! This exciting reveal helps builds suspense and excitement as children get to actively participate in the surprise.
Our current plush line includes:
- Puppies – Labradors, corgis, huskies, beagles and more! With floppy ears and soft fur, these cuddly pups are always excited to play.
- Kittens – Calico, tabby, tuxedo and ginger kitties are purrrfectly adorable. Their long tails and poseable paws are ideal for imaginary adventures.
- Bunnies – Fuzzy and sweet bunny rabbits with long, bendable ears that kids can position and pet. The perfect velvety companions.
- Panda Bears – Roly-poly black and white pandas are ready for hugs and games of catch with their poseable arms.
In addition to our signature pop-up plush pets, we also offer delightful plush companions like sloths, narwhals, llamas and more. With new animals being added all the time, there’s always a new friend to unwrap!
Imaginative Play
Our Present Pets aren’t just ordinary stuffed animals – they promote interactive, engaging play that helps develop creativity and social skills. Children bring them to life with their imagination, inventing personalities and scenarios for their new pets.
They learn to role play, articulate emotions, and build compassion as they bond with their plush companion. Our pets’ poseable limbs and personalities encourage storytelling adventures and games. Unzipping napping pets helps build fine motor skills and nurturing play.
Watching your child’s face light up when they first unwrap and reveal their unique new pet is a truly magical experience. We’ve received wonderful feedback from parents on how their child’s emotional growth, creativity, and happiness has blossomed thanks to their Present Pet pals.
Quality and Safety
While our plush pets encourage silly, off-the-leash fun, their construction and materials meet rigorous quality and safety standards. All our plush fabrics are certified non-toxic and free of harmful chemicals. Eyes, noses, and other attachments are securely fastened, with no small parts that could detach. Stuffing is premium hypoallergenic polyester fiber that retains its shape and softness for years of hugs and play.
Our unique box tether design keeps the pop-up surprise safely contained until ready. The durable gift boxes are specially engineered to withstand regular energetic play, and are 100% recyclable. We recommend parental supervision for children under 3 years of age.
Over the years, our talented designers have devised clever ways to allow for imaginative play while preventing injury. Our plush pets have lockable joints, lightly weighted bottoms, and well-secured appendages to prevent any unintended detachments. Safety will always be our top priority.
Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability
At Present Pets, we believe in giving back and minimizing our environmental footprint. We proudly manufacture in the USA at our family-owned workshop in Oregon using OEKO-TEX certified fabrics and child-safe dyes. We source premium quality, earth-friendly materials from trusted vendors with ethical practices.
A portion of all sales goes to support youth education programs and animal rescue/adoption efforts. We’ve also partnered with local recyclers to give our production scraps a second life. The gift boxes and tissue paper we package our plush pets in are all recyclable or biodegradable.
As we continue to grow, we look forward to finding new ways to reduce waste while bringing happiness and imagination to children worldwide.
